An explanation of tithing
sorry I'm setting up the layout of the site tonight ready for content
basically
tithing is giving a tenth of our income to God
to our church to fund ministry we receive
to fund the church's care for the poor
to fund the church helping those outside the church
etc
personally, my contextualisation suggests that as in the OT God gave His people land,
and the Priests were responsable for health, education and welfare of the people of God
whereas today
- we buy our land
- the government provides health, education and in Australia welfare payments

on living a life of faith based on giving rather than getting
faith that God provides for our needs
our tithing is an act of obedience in faith
